Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before booking with Maasai Walking Safari. By making a reservation, you agree to abide by these terms.
1. Booking and Payment
- A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the trip.
- Bookings made within 30 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made in writing and will be subject to the following fees:
- 60 days or more before the trip: Full refund minus the deposit.
- 30-59 days before the trip: 50% of the total cost.
- Less than 30 days: No refund.
- No refunds will be given for unused services or early departures.
3. Travel Insurance
- Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers. It should cover trip cancellations, medical expenses, evacuation, and personal belongings.
- Maasai Walking Safari is not liable for any costs arising from the lack of insurance coverage.
4. Health and Safety
- All participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or physical limitations before booking.
- You are responsible for obtaining all necessary vaccinations and medications as recommended for Tanzania.
- Participants must follow safety instructions provided by guides at all times.
5. Changes to Itineraries
- Maasai Walking Safari reserves the right to modify itineraries due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, park regulations, or safety concerns.
- Any additional costs arising from such changes will be the responsibility of the client.
6. Responsibility and Liability
- Maasai Walking Safari will make every effort to ensure your trip runs smoothly. However, we are not responsible for:
- Delays or cancellations caused by airlines, weather, or government restrictions.
- Loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings.
- Injuries or accidents occurring during the trip.
- Participation in activities such as safaris, walking tours, and mountain treks is at your own risk.
7. Visas and Travel Documents
- It is the responsibility of the traveler to obtain all necessary visas and travel documents before arrival.
- Maasai Walking Safari is not liable for any costs incurred due to denied entry or missing documentation.
8. Force Majeure
- Maasai Walking Safari is not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or strikes.
9. Group Tours
- For group tours, a minimum number of participants is required. In the event the minimum is not met, Maasai Walking Safari reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the trip. Full refunds will be provided for canceled trips.
10. Special Requests
- Any special requests, such as dietary preferences or private accommodations, must be communicated at the time of booking. While we will make every effort to accommodate, requests are not guaranteed.
11. Photography and Media
- Maasai Walking Safari reserves the right to use photographs or videos taken during your trip for promotional purposes unless you explicitly request otherwise.
12. Governing Law
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes will be resolved under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
